STAMATOPOULOU

I am a multi-identity person with three basic roots: arts-politics-education.
I am teacher, theatre director and actress. I have been teaching Computer Science and Theatre in Primary and Secondary Education
and I taught for 2 years modern post war greek theatre
and methodology research lessons (2017-2019) in Drama School
of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

I am a historical researcher Msc Ionian University and I have
Phd in Theatrology Drama School Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
This autumn I will finish my post-doc research on greek communist actor, Manos Katrakis and his archive kept by greek police.

From 2002, I am founding member, director and actress of the libertarian political theatre “Facta Non Verba” with 35 productions (classical plays, performances, street theaters) and several workshops, seminars
and political actions. Since 2017, we launch Communication Theatre
and we focus on a work in progress, experimental and research theatrical project based on greek civil war (1944-1949).

From 2013 to 2016 I was director and animateur of the High School
theatre group of Koufonisia island, a very small island in Greece.
With Troades (Trojan Women) by Euripides we participated
in the International Festival of Messini 2014.

I organized in collaboration with the american anarchopacifist group
“The Living Theatre” a three-day theatrical action and workshops
against the european conference of the ministers of culture of the EU
in May 2003.

In August 2008 we staged the performance My nationality:
the color of the wind, based on texts by Matei Visniek in solidarity
to immigrants and refugees in context of No Border Patras.
From 2009 to 2013 we organised the Libertarian Festival
of Theatrical Expression.

Last year, after a major operation, I start practicing Qigong
and I follow a certification course 225 hour with Shufu Michael Rinaldini.
I am a single mother and my daugher is 15 years old.
